The Summoning

Yesterday I bought Kelley Armstrong's The Summoning which is an "Otherworld" novel about a teenage girl who sees dead people (and yes, The Sixth Sense moment did go through my head) written for the young adult audience. I love her "Women of the Otherworld" novels and I'm hoping that this one doesn't disappoint.

I also picked up Chef Jamie Oliver's new magazine (issue 2) for my sister since she's the true chef in the family but I think I'm going to have to skim through it just because it looks so damn interesting.

Pineapple Express

The movie, Pineapple Express, is the perfect "clean the house" movie. I can't stop laughing. Seth Rogen and James Franco are the perfect "bromance" couple.

Quick and easy pasta carbonara

Half pack of bacon cut into cubes/pieces
-Cook in pan, remove bacon, keep fat in pan.
1 cup of wine
-Add to pan, bring to boil for 3 minutes while stirring.
Thin pasta
-Cook, drain, do not rinse, return to pot
1/2 cup Romano cheese
1/2 cup Parmesean cheese
3 eggs well beatan
-Add to pasta plus wine/fat mixture and bacon, stir until egg is cook and adheres to pasta
-Serve with some more cheese on top and/or pepper if desired.

Enjoy.

This would make a great addition to a brunch.
